This Sunday, October 8th, 2017, The Pilsen Law Center will be out in full force in front of our office passing out Mexican pastries and café. And yes, for those who want to go the extra mile, you can get a free consult with one of our lawyers. This is our way of celebrating Chicago’s annual marathon. Located in the heart of Pilsen, our office provides front row seats and a chance to partake in this exciting event.
The Common Goal of a Finish Line
This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon. As any participant and spectator will tell you, this world-class event possesses its own magic. It provides an incomparable experience for runners, and spectators alike. The event hosts over 45,000 runners, from elite Olympic medal winners, to first time marathoners. All very different runners, but all united by their desire to reach the finish line.
The group of non-elite runners offers a variety of its own. It’s made up of people from all walks of life, with different goals, aspirations, and dreams. Many of these runners chose to participate while fundraising for a specific charity. They chose to combine their desire to complete a marathon with their desire to help others. In 2016, over 10,000 charity runners participated in the Chicago Marathon on behalf of more than 170 local, national and global causes. This is one of the reasons why the BOA Chicago Marathon is one of our firm’s favorite events. The runners’ desire to help others and their commitment to a cause bigger than themselves speaks to the core values of our firm.
Join In on the Fun!
Another reason why the BOA Chicago Marathon is one of our firm’s favorite events – We are located in vibrant Pilsen! Our office, The Pilsen Law Center, is located right on 18th street, known for its colorful murals and Mexican restaurants. That’s mile 20, for those spectators wishing to catch a glimpse of a friend or family member running the marathon.
